Näkk – Passion fruit witbier

Delightfully sour and refreshing Belgian style witbier. Brewed with plenty of passion fruit puree, coriander seeds and bitter orange peel.

 

Appearance: This bright amber coloured beer has a hint of green in it’s undertone. Letting your mind wonder to summery thoughts. Don’t expect a strong foam hat to top your glass. Bubbles are light and tiny, elegant even.

Nose: Once you put your nose in the glass, you are welcomed by fresh summer like aromas. Crisp and fresh. Just what you need on a warm summer day. Smell is juicy and mouthwatering. Hints of lime, passion fruit and a bit of coriander seeds.

Taste: As refreshing and crisp in taste as aroma suggested. First taste offers fruity and fresh passion fruit nuances. Mid taste greets you with citrus acidity and malty sweetness with a bit of bitterness from orange peel in after taste.

Low ABV and hop bitterness make it a perfect companion on a hot summer day. It’ll take away your thirst, refresh your mind and offer an excellent flavour experience.

Your evening date isn’t much of a beer lover? This feminine refreshment is a wonderful way to show off your knowledge and introduce them to the surprising world of craft beer.

Serving: Drink it fresh and drink it cold. Serve at 4-6°C.

Food pairing: Think summer, think grill and BBQ. Fantastic with salads, lighter white meat dishes like grilled chicken and avocado. Try it with lightly cooked white fish and Hollandaise sauce. Want to surprise your guests? Offer it in top of home made yoghurt ice-cream  or serve it with panna cotta. Or skip the meal and drink it as an aperitif.
